John Welch is proud to serve the Pittsford community. Nestled tightly in Monroe county and along the historic Erie Canal, Pittsford is the oldest of ten villages in the county. In the early 1800's Pittsford was the first area to hold a stage coach line, putting it in the center of the largest stage network in western New York. Pittsford then grew even more rapidly after the opening of the Erie Canal in 1827. It's excellent agricultural soil led to a very successful commercial agricultural development. It was a main shipping area for local grains, produce, lumberyards, produce warehouses and the popular flour mill, that still stands today!
